While doing actual work I saw an Excel chart with nice colors. Four of them. Then my brain started to work and a bright idea popped up in my head.
Could a modernish car be painted in ”Ruxton colors”?
I don’t mean Qashqai but maybe a Volvo 240 or w124 M-B. Would that look awesome or just weird?

I think a W124 could pull it off, and my W124 needs a repaint, but I’m not the man to do it. It would certainly also work on a Honda Element, though to pull off the lengthening effect of the stripes properly it needs to have a bit more body in front of the cabin.

Shades of green. Or olive. Definitely. If I had the skills, I’d photohack it for you, but the blues option at top is pretty sweet, too.
I don’t think it would work on a modern car, but a full size pickup? Sure! Basically the same silhouette, just reversed!
